DESIGN OF THE SEMESTER SYSTEM FOR BA PROGRAMME


    There shall be a course of study of 3 years duration leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Arts. It consists of six semesters.

    Eligibility Criterion : A student who has passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10 + 2) of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council/ CBSE / etc. or an equivalent examination (10 + 2) recognized as such by the University, shall be eligible for the admission into the first Semester of the Six-Semester Degree Course in Arts in semester system.

    Total Marks : The total marks of BA (General) & BA (Major) shall be 2400.

DISTANCE MODE COURSES


The college also offers B.A and M.A in Sociology in Distance mode.The B.A course will be in the annual system and will comprise 3 years course in the pattern 1+1+1. The M.A. course will be of 2 years duration in Annual system. The Distance course is affialiated to Dibrugarh University and the syllabus is based upon the University syllabus.
